Notching up some thirty five years in the business, a good proportion of which were spent with a mentor of some repute, Dickie is the link to the past ( genetically at least ), and plans for the future. Particularly fond of one of his father’s observations that his favourite design was the next one, Dickie aims for the same but without leaving any crestfallen owners behind. He enjoys the generational leap that sees B&R designing for children of his father’s clients, and building with the latest generation of shipyard owners where Bannenberg Snr once elegantly trod. Struggling to look similarly elegant. A cocker spaniel doesn’t help. And he doesn’t go to Savile Row.
